I have no use for this under-featured product. Maybe I was expecting too much for my $35, but Music Creator 4 only fills a niche in my trash can. Difficult to learn, and featureless when you do get it going. If you just throw-away $35, at least you will save yourself the hard-drive space.
I bought a dell inspirion 530 with pentium and dual core, etc yesterday 5-22-09.I bought the music creator 4 last week.It wont install on the dell with vista, dozens of error messages, yet I tried it on my dell inspiron b120 with xp and it installed ok but wont recognize my m-audio drivers for my sound interface. It probably works ok with xp and a more expensive interface ,but I wouldn't bother again buying a cheap program without fully searching for compatibility.I have 4 free recording programs that work great.why cant a program that says VISTA on the front cover actually work with VISTA.
Just as advertised. Seems to be lacking in Controller tools but I just may not have found them yet.
This is a pretty good ENTRY LEVEL audio editor. It's mostly good for editing a wave file you already have on your computer. It only allows you to record one audio track input at a time, so that right there should tell you it's not that powerful. Don't expect to be able to hook your band's inputs to a $30 software package.
I tested it for three months and it worked perfectly all the time. Being into MIDI since 1983 and working with hardware sequencers and several sequenzer programs, like Yamaha XGWorks, WHC-Software(German)and Steinberg from the beginning to Cubase 4 right now, I am always looking for software that is affordable for my pupils. I knew CWMC2003 and first bought a version of CWMC4 for myself. Therefore I recommanded it to four of my pupils and they use it happily since christmas. If you consider the price and the high quality then Cakewalk Music Creator 4 should be the midi-software of your choice.
